Photos are the evidence that the inspection happened and what the door looked like.
Photos you must take
Every inspection needs these five:
| Photo | What to show |
|---|---|
| Whole door, closed | The full door and frame, closed, from the corridor side. |
| Gap check | A gap gauge in the top or side gap with the door closed. |
| Edge and seals | The door open, showing the leaf edge with its strips and seals. |
| Self-closer | The closer. Not needed when "Self-closer fitted, secure and connected" is N/A. |
| Certification label or plug | The label or plug. Not needed when "Fire-door label or rating mark legible" is N/A. |
Each failed item also needs at least one photo of the defect. You can add more than one.
Retaking a named photo replaces the old one. To remove a photo, tap Remove, then Tap again to remove.
Use Take photo
Take photo opens the camera. Upload picks from your photo library. Both work, but camera photos carry a reliable capture time. Library photos are checked using the date stored in the file, and some have none.
Flagged photos
Adore flags a photo when it can't be sure it was taken during this inspection:
- Taken before this inspection started: the photo's capture time is more than a few minutes before you started the inspection.
- No capture time: the photo came from the library and has no date in it.
- Already used on another inspection: the exact same image has been uploaded to a different inspection.
You'll see a warning as soon as you add a flagged photo, and the flag shows under it. A flag doesn't stop you submitting. It stays visible on the photo in the inspection record, so anyone reviewing it can see it.
