How Adore works
What the app checks, what it does for you, and what counts as evidence.
- Who can inspectOnly someone with a verified, in-date fire door inspector certificate can fill in a fire door inspection.
- Filling in an inspectionStart from the door: scan its QR label, or find it under Portfolio, then choose Start inspection. If you've already started one, you'll see Continue inspection.
- PhotosPhotos are the evidence that the inspection happened and what the door looked like.
- Pass, fail or referAdore works out the result from your answers. You don't pick it.
- DefectsEvery failed item becomes a defect on the door. Open defects are listed on the door's page.
- When doors are dueEach door has a next due date, shown on its page with how often it's inspected and why (for example, "the default for communal doors"). Once that date passes, the door shows as overdue.
- No accessSometimes you can't get into a flat to inspect its entrance door. You can record the attempt instead.
- The inspection recordWhen you submit an inspection, it becomes a permanent record. Nobody can edit it afterwards, including you and your organisation's admins.
- QR labelsEach door gets a QR label. Scanning it with a phone camera opens that door in Adore. Each label has its own code, which never changes: 8 letters and numbers printed under the QR (for example 7K3M 9QX2). If the camera won't scan, type the code instead. Only admins can make, link or void labels.
