When doors are due

Each door has a next due date, shown on its page with how often it's inspected and why (for example, "the default for communal doors"). Once that date passes, the door shows as overdue.

How the date is worked out

Next due = the day you submit an inspection + the door's interval.

The interval comes from the door type in the register:

Door type Inspected every
Flat entrance door 365 days (12 months)
Communal door, and every other type 91 days (3 months)

Adore counts days, not calendar months, so a communal door inspected on 1 March is next due on 31 May, not 1 June. These are the minimums in the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 (regulation 10).

If someone changes a door's type in the register, its next due date moves to the new interval, counted from its last inspection.

A door's first inspection

A door shows "Not inspected yet" until its first inspection. Submitting that inspection sets up its schedule automatically, using the interval above.

No access doesn't move the date

Recording no access keeps the door due, so it's still chased. See No access.
